Human Computer Interaction
Human Computer Interaction
Human-Computer Interaction aims to improve people’s lives by designing digital artefacts, contents and services.

HCI is a Computer Science research area that brings an interdisciplinary approach (including social and computer science, informatics, and design) to the study of human interaction with computers. Our research goal is to investigate the relationships between mind, technology and environment by designing and evaluating digital artifacts, contents and services.

We explore the socio-technical issues related to the use of interactive systems in the different contexts, and their role in human communication. Our work is based on the integration of approaches from different disciplines, where the user plays a central role in both the design and evaluation process.

The research domains range from formal to informal learning, from peer-to-peer to community interaction.
