World Habitat Research Centre (WHRC)
The WHRC of the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) is a centre of competence specialized in interdisciplinary research and consultancies on environmental, technical, socio-economic and cultural dimensions of the natural and built environment in low- and middle-income countries.

Sustainable development, disaster risk management, climate change, and post-disaster reconstruction in urban and rural areas are amongst the key competences of the WHRC that is pursued through research, consultancies, policy advocacy and education in partnerships with academic institutions, NGOs, public and private agencies and community organizations in low-, middle-, and high-income countries.
