Dati anagrafici Gabi Friesen nata a Sorengo (Svizzera) il 16 ottobre 1971.

Formazione Dopo la maturità presso la Scuola Europea di Varese Gabi Friesen ha studiato fisica presso l'Università di Costanza (Germania) laureandosi nel 1995 con una tesi sugli effetti capacitivi di moduli fotovoltaici ad alta efficienza eseguita presso il Centro Comune di Ricerca - CCR - di Ispra (Varese).

Esperienze professionali Dal 1995 alle 2001 ha lavorato presso il CCR come collaboratore scientifico nel ambito di diversi progetti Europei. Dal 2001 si occupa della caratterizzazione di moduli fotovoltaici e la sua resa energetica presso il gruppo di ricerca sul FV della SUPSI dove dal 2009 è responsabile del gruppo 'PV Module Performance' e responsabile delle misure elettriche eseguite per la qualifica dei moduli secondo le norme IEC61215 e 61646.

Competenze Fotovoltaico, caratterizzazione elettrica di celle e moduli con simulatori solari, sistemi di misura indoor ed outdoor, misure e pronostico della resa energetica, stabilizzazione di moduli a film sottile.
