Management IT service
The IT service tends to the IT applications supporting the SUPSI administrative processes, managing a portfolio of applications throughout their entire life-cycle: identifying requirements, completing the development or acquisition process, making new applications operational, providing maintenance services, assisting users, managing data quality, etc..

The main objectives of the service include providing accurate and timely information in order to facilitate organisational governance and to improve the level of management process efficiency.

The most significant practical challenges consist of introducing an integrated management system for human resources and finance, reducing the number of management platforms, improving the flow of data between these platforms and managing the changes effected by the introduction of new IT tools.

IT Services assists and advises users at SUPSI, and manages the servers, the network and the local work stations. Each department is provided with its own helpdesk.

IT Services of SUPSI are organised so as to maintain independence among the departmental IT services, but also in a manner which coordinates computer science projects having an impact on the entire school.
