Human resources service
Since the beginning of 2000, SUPSI has autonomously taken on all of the various tasks pertaining to the administrative management of personnel.

Also, in this case it is necessary to subdivide among the duties which remain within the SUPSI divisions and those which, instead, have been absorbed by the Management. Among these in particular are:

  • the regular calculation of salaries of about 500 people, including salary statements and end-of-the-year AVS (tax) declarations;
  • the accounting of salaries, social fees and charges according to the rules of the model of analytic accounting;
  • the preparation, management and updating of all employment contracts;
  • the preparation of personal files for every collaborator and the daily updating of a central informative data bank;
  • the management of relationships with the Institute of Social Insurance, the two Pension Funds (of the State and of the Collection Institute), the insurance which covers cases of illness and accident, and with the various Cantonal Offices (the foreigners’ work permit office, the office for withholding tax, etc.);
  • the regular daily updating, within departments and institutions, of attendance, absence, holidays, illness and accidents in each individual section;
  • the organisation of the survey of activities, in particular for the RST collaborators;
  • the preparation of new rules and directives for the management of personnel;
  • the forwarding of work permit applications (prepared by the administrative services of the several SUPSI sections).

Also, in such a sphere close contact with Administrative Services of the SUPSI sections is essential, as they must supply the information relative to new collaborators, modifications of contracts, absences for sickness and accident, requests for work permission, etc.

Since 2000, timely statistical information must be given to the Federal Office relating to active personnel within SUPSI and the services which they carry out in the fields of basic education, continuous education, research, services and general administration, essentially following the guidelines of the model of analytic accounting.
