Cybersecurity

The information society is becoming increasingly critical in terms of dependency from technology and exposure to hacking attacks, sabotage, privacy, loss of data and data breaches. Companies are increasingly opening their information systems to cyberspace using products and services not necessarily known.

Therefore, information security and data protection became in the past years a crucial aspect both in infrastructure and in terms of software design. Any program dealing with preserving data security, pursues, to some extent, three fundamental objectives: availability, integrity and confidentiality of information.
Over the years, information security became a complex science, requiring daily maintenance, awareness and updates to prevent and defend from new attacking techniques.

The Institute presents a valid infrastructure, adequate to the research and study of new techniques, able to guarantee staying at the forefront on new threats, thanks to the wide network of information and cooperation with a number of partners at both national as well as European level. Skills are applicable to various fields ranging from hardware to system and application software.
