Studying engineering at the DTI
The Department of Innovative Technologies deals with applied engineering sciences in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, electronics, medical technology and industrial production. Its mission is to train highly qualified young engineers ready to actively enter the world of work with a wide range of theoretical and practical skills.
Activism and dynamism are two of the cornerstones of a Department which, in recent years, has been able to expand its educational offer and teaching methods to adapt to the demands of an increasingly competitive labour market and to meet the needs imposed by the pandemic situation.
The Department's location at the East Campus in Lugano-Viganello, a modern structure equipped with laboratories and innovative teaching spaces, also helps to ensure a high quality of education and allows students to enjoy an exclusive university experience thanks to the many services offered (library, sports, canteen).
