The International Academy for Manufacturing Production Research (CIRP), founded in 1951 in Paris, will hold the General Assembly for the first time in the canton Ticino in Switzerland, the world-wide reference point in the world for excellence in research.

Switzerland is also the fourth manufacturer of machine tools after Japan, Germany and Italy, and the second country to export goods for production in the world. The event will be attended by 600 researchers and professors from companies and research institutes from 50 countries around the world, and will discuss topics of great scientific relevance such as production systems, robotics and artificial intelligence.

The General Assembly opening will be introduced by:

During the Opening Cerimony there will be a contribution by Accademia Teatro Dimitri, that organized a special performance for the audience.

In addition to the rich scientific program, CIRP will offer the opportunity to visit the City of Lugano and the canton Ticino through trips organized by turist guides.
