Four evenings of the Emergenza Terra (Earth Emergency) cycle from September to December 2023 will focus on water, air, earth and fire (in the sense of energy) in the era of climate change, thanks to speakers who are among the leading experts on the subject, in keeping with the multidisciplinary nature of the cycle: from aerospace engineer to climate physicist, from philosopher to economist...
A fifth evening focuses on how the climate is narrated: a slightly different way, in short, of approaching the subject in order to understand how climate change is narrated.
Of the five events, one will have a film-musical prelude before the conference proper (Wednesday 27 September), while another will begin with excerpts from a play (Thursday 26 October).
The lectures in the Emergenza Terra cycle are free of charge and open to all interested persons, not just students and academics. Refreshments will follow.
Registration is required for organisational reasons.
The meetings are held in the Multipurpose Hall on the ground floor of the SUPSI Campus in Mendrisio (via Flora Ruchat-Roncati-15).
