SUPSI Image Focus
Roberto Mastropietro is Head of Continuing Education areas in Data Science and Cybersecurity and Information technology and digitisation at the Department of Innovative Technologies. The applied research projects carried out by the department contribute to the creation of knowledge that is then made available to the region through Continuing Education.
What does Continuing Education at the Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI) represent and what is its added value for participants?
Continuing Education at the DTI is a fundamental tool for transferring the knowledge developed by its research institutes to the region and thus acting as a support for the development of companies, for example, in the technological field. On the other hand, Continuing Education also enables a better understanding of companies' needs and sometimes creates the opportunity to carry out applied research projects together.
What courses/areas are you involved in?
My field of reference is information technology in all its expressions. In this field, there are courses of different sizes, ranging from courses for people with different backgrounds - such as the CAS in Digital Marketing and E-commerce manager - to specialised courses for people with an IT background, such as the MAS in IT management and Governance.
How would you define the relationship with the participants?
The relationship is always professional, but an attempt is made to understand the needs of the individual, as the practice is in addition to professional and private life and can cause situations of overload.
