Geomatics Sector Services
Geomatics deals in a multidisciplinary way with the study of land and the environment by contextualizing it in a geographical dimension that allows consideration of existing spatial relationships.
Architectural survey
Surveys of architectural objects are carried out on request, highlighting their geometric, dimensional, typological and structural characteristics.Stability monitoring
By analysing spatial variations of points and structural parts materialised by cornerstones over time, the sector can carry out high-precision monitoring. This makes it possible to verify the stability of large structures, buildings or the ground or to quantify their displacement/deformation velocities.Topographical measurements and Laserscanning
Thanks to the range of instruments available, topographical surveys can be carried out with varying accuracy using levels, satellite positioning systems, total stations and/or photogrammetric drones. In addition, the IST has a Laserscanning spatial scanning instrument from the company RIEGL that allows point cloud acquisitions at long distances (up to 4 km). The instrument we have is characterised by high precision, high scanning speed and the possibility of recording multi-echo signals.
Managing observations from monitoring networks
Thanks to its long experience in environmental monitoring data management and its participation in the standardisation community of data from observations, it offers advice on the collection and management of time series and on the open source software istSOS, of which it is the main developer.GIS consultancy
Individuals requiring specific courses or consultancy to support their activities in the area of geographic information services can request such services from the Geomatic Group. In addition to ESRI software, particular expertise is offered in the area of 'Free & Open Source' software.Geographical applications on the Web
Increasingly, information is managed in the Cloud through applications that make it available in the form of dynamic map data. The IST on request designs, realises, and eventually manages geographical applications customised cartographice (Web-GIS) responding to specific needs.Geographic web services make it possible to display spatially referenced information on the Internet, offering a set of communication protocols that allow the desired information to be displayed, modified or deleted. Standard OGC services are realised in this area (WMS, WFS, SOS, WPS, CWS, WCS, OGC API), RESTful services, or generally SOA applications.
