The research pointed at designing and developing a smart phone application (iPhone and Android) that enables citizens to access the data about the current status of air quality in the area they are, live and work. The application has been designed to provide information that are suitable to the communication of those data to non expert people: it features useful recommendations and suggestions to support people when the level of pollution is too high. The research is part of the research OASI-interfaces and integrated services for communicating environmental data of Environmental monitoring laboratory of Italian Switzerland and it has been carried out by Laboratory of visual culture (LCV_DACD) and the Laboratory of semantic and multimedia systems (LSMS-DTI).
