The project aims to define a new educational model to integrate Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Data Visualization (DV) in Design curricula, promoting a peer-to-peer exchange through a learning-by-doing teaching approach. The parties involved – SUPSI MA in Interaction Design, EPFL Media x Design Lab, and iNOVA Media Lab – pursue developing an experimental approach that will be tested and assessed in a week-long intensive workshop with multidisciplinary background teachers and students. The knowledge generated will be formalized in educational model documentation, suitable to be scalable and applied in Bachelor's and Master's design programs, that will be shared through the development and release of an open-source collaborative toolkit, accessible from the national and international design community.
