Fast and simultaneously innovations introduced in recent years by the manufacturers are manifold: PERC/PERT/PERL/TOPCON or SHJ cells, half cells, M4, M6 or M12 cell sizes, multi Bus Bar (MBB) or shingled, bifacial cells, etc.. Too many changes at once have to be balanced with quality, reliabil-ity, lifetime and ultimately return on investment (ROI). Reliability and performance analyses in the laboratory should be verified and correlated in the field to secure the high investments required for an energy transition. In this project we want to analyse and verify the reliability and performance of 5 new technologies in real systems with the highest allowable voltage (1500V) and with different polar-izations in inverters. On the roofs of USI-SUPSI's East Campus, five PV systems for a total of 145 kWp will be installed and monitored with innovative diagnostic tools.
