Modelling Social Interactions in Real Work Environments

Abstract To measure and analyse social interactions taking place in real work environments; To set the foundations for identifying and tailoring an optimal work environment for each social interaction type. This contributes to improving employee?s motivation, performance, work-life balance, well-being and commitment. To be able to recognise the needs of employees regarding the places, at which they would prefer to interact according to current tasks, they pursue. In other words, we want to identify and arrange work environments in accordance with employees\' needs and their current work activities (e.g., additional meeting rooms, collaboration rooms, concentration rooms). To suggest how to facilitate communicative and collaborative activities of employees, since communication in teams plays a key role in a team\'s performance and how to facilitate the exchange of knowledge held within the organisation.
