High strain-rate behaviour of E01141325 material at high and room temperature

Abstract Material flow and chip formation are key factors to understand the machining performance of steels. The material model is the major and important module of the numerical code used for the simulation of the cutting process, such as drilling. The influence of the graphite on machinability needs to be investigated. In order to analyze dynamical material behavior and determine Johnson Cook (Damage) parameters, tensile tests at higher strain rates and temperatures will be performed in SHTB test.
