Occupational therapy based energy management education in person with cancer-related fatigue.

Abstract -The purpose of this research project is to provide appropriate, evidence-based and evaluated occupational therapy patient education for people with and after cancer with fatigue in order to deal with the consequences of fatigue and to improve their quality of life. The project will enable OTs to make a qualitatively assured intervention within the support of people with and after cancer. Aim of Part 1: Evaluation and optimization of the energy management education (EME) treatment protocol in inpatient and outpatient settings for people with cancer-related fatigue. Aim of part 2: to generate data needed for a larger clinical trial: process data (inclusion rate, drop-outs, follow-up rates, the significance of assessments used) and first indications of efficacy.
