Acronimo FSPIN-OFF

Abstract The overall objective of this collaborative project is to promote reflection, exchange and knowledge building on gender and diversity as well as for equal opportunities among Swiss universities in the area of female academic entrepreneurship. The project fosters activities, which increase the share of female spin-offs in all disciplines and departments of universities and competences of (potential) female academic entrepreneurs. Furthermore, it aims on complementing and developing structures of spin-off promotion with a specific focus on female academics. The activities consider different disciplinary perspectives (STEM/HSS), the concerns of students and university staff as well as different regional and linguistic contexts (D, F, I). Such country-wide strategy will offer coordinated and aligned activities to promote spin-off activities as a network with a specific focus on female academics. Tailored activities are planned In Ticino, e.g. development of portraits of university spin-offs/start-ups of female (student) academic entrepreneurs for local media, tailored support activities for (potential) female entrepreneurs supported by local task force and a dedicated public event.
