Formazione 2009 - 2014. Dr. es science at the Department of Botany and plant biology at the University of Geneva (UNIGE) in Environmental Microbiology (microbiology of the Lake Cadagno). 2001 - 2007. Master of Science (MSc) in genomics and experimental biology with a master thesis in environmental microbiology at the Department of Fundamental Microbiology (DMF); and a bachelor of science (BSc) in biology, University of Lausanne (UNIL).

Esperienze professionali 2014 - 2017. PostDoc position financed from the SCCER BIOSWEET program (https://www.sccer-biosweet.ch/). An interdisciplinary project, with environmental engineers and bio-technologist, with the aim to increase the biogas production from liquid organic waste through the process of anaerobic digestion at the laboratory of Bio-environmental technology (BET) of SUPSI. 2008. Stage in medical microbiology at the Cantonal Institute of Microbiology (ICM), Switzerland (CH). 2007. Stage in the microbial control of water and food at the Chemical Laboratory of the Canton Ticino, Switzerland (CH).

Competenze 2017 - 2019 (current position) Scientist/Researcher, responsible for the microbial ecology group studying the meromictic Lake Cadagno at the Laboratory of applied microbiology (LMA) of SUPSI, University of applied sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), since April 2017.
