  • A CHF 100 fee must be paid when the application is made. This fee is not reimbursable, and cannot be deducted from the semester fee.
  • Course fee
  • The semester fee amounts to CHF 1,600. This sum is reduced to CHF 800 for students who benefit from the application of the ASUP Intercantonal Agreement for Vocational Universities (Swiss nationality or civil and fiscal domicile in Switzerland or in Liechtenstein). Contribution to didactic costs: CHF 80.

  • Description
  • The Master in Specialised Pedagogy and Inclusive Didactics involves in-depth specialised studies in the field of special pedagogy. It is designed as a targeted and specialised in-depth study of the skills already acquired by the candidate in the basic training courses qualifying him/her for teaching in compulsory school. The professional figure of reference is that of the specialised teacher, in the areas of planning and practice of teaching in school contexts that require the presence of this figure.

Objectives

The main objective of the training is the development of skills in educational design for pupils with special educational needs and the exercise of specialised teaching in special and regular contexts. The training aims to train a "specialised and inclusive" teacher capable of successfully exercising this function throughout compulsory schooling, while at the same time recognising the specificity of each school cycle and the function exercised in relation to the order of school in which he or she is employed or engaged in the course of the modules dedicated to professional practice.


Skills

The educational curriculum aims at the acquisition of professional skills and theoretical and epistemological knowledge in the field of special pedagogy and inclusive education. Teachers will learn to use in a competent and critical way tools and strategies to understand in depth, both on an individual level and within the class/section system, the functioning of pupils with special educational needs and will develop skills to respond with effective interventions to these needs both in the contexts of special education and in those of regular school.

Career prospects

The title entitles the holder of the title to work as a teacher in special pedagogy, special teaching orientation in compulsory education in the Canton of Ticino.
