Southern Switzerland Innovation Forum
How should politics, business and academic institutions interact today to ensure new innovations in support of sustainable development of tomorrow's society?

This question will be answered by the distinguished guests who will speak at the third edition of the Southern Switzerland Innovation Forum, to be held at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano on 8 April 2022.

Personalities from the political, economic and academic worlds active at regional, national and European level will participate in the symposium.

Among the speakers: Federal Councillor Simonetta Sommaruga, head of the Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications; the President of the Ticino State Council Manuele Bertoli and Dr. Antonella Chadha Santuccione, neuroscientist, co-founder and CEO of the non-profit organization “Women's Brain Project”, winner of the World Prize for Sustainability in 2020 and Head of Stakeholder Engagement at Biogen.

For the science sector, Prof. Claudio Boër, former Vice-President of the Supsi Council; Marcel Tanner, Professor in Epidemiology and President of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences and Tatjana Volkova, Professor of Strategic Management and Innovation Management at BA School of Business and Finance (Latvia).

Representing the economy sector, Alessandra Alberti, CEO of Chocolat Stella, a company with a strong focus on sustainable production; Christoph Beuttler, Head of Climate Policy at Climeworks, winner of the Technology Pioneer Award in 2020; and Christian Gattiker, Director of Research at Julius Bär.
