Personal Details Born in Lörrach (Germany) on July the 25th 1970.

Education and training Master of Science in Electronic Engineering at Politecnico of Milano, with master thesis developed at the Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden. Phd in Computer Science and Industrial Automation Engineering at Politecnico of Milano, with major developed at the European Space and Technology Center in the Neatherlands.

Work experience Lecturer at Politecnico di Milano from 1999 to 2005, at University of Bergamo from 2003 to 2011, at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland from 2012. Researcher at Politecnico of Milano (1994-2001), European Space Agency (1998), ABB (1999-2000), Alstom Power (2000-2001), National Research Council of Italy (2002-2012), University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (from 2012).

Skills He managed numerous research and education programs in the field of industrial automation and production engineering. His research interests and activites are focused on industrial control and automation systems, as well as on the digitalisation of industrial systems and value chains, including evolution of related human aspects.

Awards He is active in different federal and international associations and institutions dedicated to education, research and innovation programs and initiatives in the field of industrial engineering: CIRP, EFFRA, EPOSS, Manufuture EU and CH, FTAL, SATW, ATED. He is author of about 140 scientific papers.
