Assistant with Master in the area of Artificial Intelligence applied to Robotics

The University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) has opened at the Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI) in Manno, in particular at the Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence (IDSIA), a full time (100%) position for an Assistant with Master in the area of Artificial Intelligence applied to Robotics. Contract start date 15.10.2020 or date to be agreed.

Tasks

  • Software implementation of supervised learning and reinforcement learning algorithms for robotics applications.
  • Support research activities in the AI applied to task learning and advanced control for robotics applications.
  • Support research activities in control of dynamical systems and process optimization.
  • Software implementation for bug-data analysis.

Requirements

  • Master in Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Informatics Engineering or related fields.
  • Theoretical basis in mechatronics/robotics area.
  • Expertise in supervised learning and reinforcement learning algorithms.
  • Experience with Python/C++ programming language.
  • Experience with Robotics Simulation Softwares.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
