Tasks

• Research activities in design and implementation of algorithms for combinatorial optimization and machine learning algorithms and their interaction.
• Management and development of research projects in the aforementioned field.
• Optionally, teaching in algorithms and optimization related courses.

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in electronics, informatics or related fields.
• Publications in top-level international journals and conferences.
• Experience with writing research proposals.
• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Experience in the design and implementation of algorithms for combinatorial optimization based on decomposition techniques.
• Experience in the design and implementation of machine learning models and data-driven optimization algorithms.
• Theoretical background in; operations research, combinatorial optimization (exact and heuristic methods), machine learning, control theory.
• Familiarity with development of algorithms in C, C++ and Python.
• Familiarity with frameworks and libraries for combinatorial optimization (AMPL, Pyomo, Gurobi, Cplex, SCIP).
