Prof. Cesare Alippi of the Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence (IDSIA USI-SUPSI) has been appointed Fellow of the Geometric Deep Learning programme at the European Lab for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS). This is the third time that a USI researcher has been awarded this status by the prestigious organisation that promotes excellence in basic research and collaboration with industry in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Promotion to fellow status rewards the scientific excellence of the researcher.

A new IDSIA technical report has been issued by Jürgen Schmidhuber. Following the great success of massive open online peer review (MOOR) for his 2015 survey of deep learning (now the most cited article ever published in the journal Neural Networks), this extended version of a June 2020 article is currently undergoing MOOR as well.
