Diversità e conservazione dei funghi acquatici: SUPSI contribuisce alla ricerca europea di punta

Attualmente trascurati in tutti i principali piani d'azione per la conservazione delle specie, i funghi acquatici svolgono ruoli cruciali nelle reti alimentari acquatiche e nel funzionamento degli ecosistemi. Un consorzio europeo che vede la partecipazione del Dipartimento ambiente costruzioni e design della SUPSI, attraverso il suo Istituto di Microbiologia, avvierà nel mese di aprile un progetto internazionale che si concentrerà su questo particolare gruppo di organismi, ancora poco studiato ma di enorme importanza.

The University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), is seeking to recruit a new Director of the Institute of microbiology (IM), and member of the departmental Executive Board. This Director’s position at the Department of Environment Constructions and Design (DACD) is based in Mendrisio. The Institute of microbiology (48 employees) is the central reference in the field of microbiology south of the Alps. Aspects of public health, environmental microbiology, and biotechnology converge there into a unified view of microbiology that considers human, animal, and environmental health as one in line with the "One Health" vision.
