Mendrisio and Lugano struck me positively with a variety of exciting architecture. I have developed a lot personally and professionally during my semester in Switzerland. I'm glad to have gained this experience.

We learned the Italian basics and acquired familiarity with this language by doing some practice through interactive activities. We also attended an Atelier Verticale where each of us worked on a project, some in groups others individually. We analyzed the Swiss architecture and design.

During my Bachelor studies I took already part in a great mobility exchange, which is why I didn't want to miss the chance to experience it again in another country. This time I chose Lugano as destination. The school was supposed to be one of the best taking part in the program and Swiss/italian design inspired me already for a while. Furthermore I have always been interested in the italian language and the Ticinese culture.

Lugano è una piccola città, parte del Canton Ticino in Svizzera, di lingua italiana. Ritengo che sia una città bellissima, con un centro storico molto e curato e un lago che mi arricchisce molto con la città. One of the things I really enjoyed was the visits to Swiss/Italian architecture around Ticino with Lukas Meyer. We got to see a lot of beautiful landscapes and interesting architecture. | will remember the beautiful views of Lugano and the opportunity to work on local projects, for example the collaboration with the LAC cultural center.

I would always recommend to study one semester abroad. It was a nice time and I saw a lot of things and learned something new about yourself. It is always a questions what your personal make out of your time abroad. But if you choose Lugano, you have to know that this is more a quiet small place and not a crazy big city. So it is more a place to calm a bit down.

Lugano è capitata un po' per caso, sono partita senza aspettative e si è rivelata una scelta felicissima! Ho capito di cosa sono davvero appassionata e forse cosa vorrò fare davvero da grande. Devo dire che è stato inoltre molto bello entrare in un ambiente accademico totalmente diverso da Venezia, molti meno studenti che quindi possono avere riscontri più diretti con i professori.

I chose SUPSI for the mobility semester, because I wanted to experience the living amongst Italian speaking Swiss people. The combination of both nationalities merging in on place felt appealing to me. Speaking of the semester itself as cultural experience, the numbers of different nationalities included was amazing

I very strongly recommend this experience. The most of all that I will remember about this experience is making new friends and the way I learnt how the grow up. It was the best way to get some perspective in life. And so I would recommend it to all. I don't think I really would want to change anything about this. Maybe i would want to try to find a schedule where I find more time to travel.

I chose Lugano because of my love nature, the italian cultural influence and the famous and quality architecture in Switzerland. This IMIAD program is working quite well over many years and all the organi fill out some forms.
