International cooperation
Mobility with internship experience through projects in developing countries is one of the mobility opportunities in the health sector of the Department of Business, Health and Social Affairs. An added value of the learning process that allows students to confront concepts of the world of international cooperation.
In the field of development cooperation, in recent years, the department has started to relate to different aspects of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) both at the local Cantonal level and in the nearby Insubria. With these NGOs, the Department has undertaken important collaborations, allowing various students to leave for several development cooperation projects around the world.
But which are our students' favourite destinations for internships?
Elaborated by departmental managers, the map represents all the destinations selected over the years. You can find it on the SUPSI Competence Centre's web pages Cooperation and Development.
Workshop in Ethiopia
The Department of Environment, Construction and Design (DACD) of SUPSI has been organising workshops in Turmi, in the Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Region in Ethiopia for some years. Selected students usually come from different graduation courses and the objectives of these workshops differ from year to year. For example in 2017 there was the creation of a building in unfired earth made useful to host a classroom for the municipal area of the village of Turmi.
