Greener Mobility 2022: additional financial aid
As of the academic year 2021/2022, the national agency Movetia is supporting sustainability by encouraging students to undertake more sustainable mobility.
Anyone who chooses to undertake the journey to their holiday destination and return home by a means of transport that emits less CO2 than aeroplanes, such as train or bus, will receive a subsidy, called the Green Travel Top-Up of CHF100.00 per mobility.
The subsidy is only valid if you undertake the return journey and for minimum distance of 200 km.
Students who commit to undertake a Green Travel must hand in proof of the journey (e.g. travel tickets) at the end of the mobility, attaching it to the final mobility documentation.
Receipts must be handed in no later than 4 weeks after return, otherwise refund will no longer be possible.
More information can be found on the Movetia page.
Greener Mobility 2023: additional financial aid
Also for the academic years 2023/2024 and 2024/2025, the national agency Movetia supports the theme of sustainability by encouraging students to be more sustainable.
A flat rate of CHF 100 for eco-responsible mobility is included in the grant (Green Travel).
Students who do not use a low carbon means of transport such as train or bus for their outbound and return journeys (from home to place of mobility destination) therefore receive CHF 100 less.
