Italian courses
Italian is the third language in Switzerland and 350,000 inhabitants of the Canton of Ticino use it as the main language.
SUPSI, the only professional University of Italian language and culture recognised by the Swiss Confederation, it is particularly important to study the Italian language upon arrival in Ticino.

Intensive Italian Course

SUPSI offers a two-week intensive Italian course to students in the SEMP programme. The course is offered free of charge if the student attends at least 75% of the classes. Otherwise, the student will be charged the tuition fee of CHF500.

Other SUPSI students may attend the course, but at their own expense.

The course is generally held a couple of weeks before the start of each semester.

If you pass the final exam, a certificate of attendance will be provided. No ECTS will be recognised. All exams on the official courses are classified on scale 1 to 10, for language courses the evaluation is however expressed by a binary system (Pass or Fail).

If you are interested, please contact the International Office and fill in the Test Podium.
