CAS WASH SUPSI: training in the water sector for developing countries

On Thursday, March 17, 2022, will start the third edition of the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for humanitarian and developing context (CAS WASH). A university course of continuing education designed to provide participants with the knowledge and technical skills necessary to plan and implement initiatives aimed at improving water supply and sanitation in humanitarian contexts and development cooperation.

The CAS WASH is promoted by the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) in collaboration with the University of Neuchâtel (UniNE) and the Institute of Aquatic Research of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (Eawag-ETH), and is aimed at water professionals working in developing countries and/or in humanitarian contexts.

This undergraduate continuing education course is designed to impart to participants the knowledge and technical skills necessary to plan and implement initiatives geared towards improving water supply and sanitation in humanitarian and development cooperation contexts.

The course, offered in blended learning format, consists of 3 theoretical modules that will be held at a distance (through the Zoom platform) and a practical module that will take place at the Department of Environment, Construction and Design of SUPSI in Mendrisio. The contents are delivered by Swiss and international experts from various academic institutions, development agencies and NGOs.

The registration deadline is Monday, February 28, 2022.
