H2020 SUPER PV’s goal is to reduce costs of the photovoltaics (PV) system by combining technological innovations and novel data management strategies along the PV value chain, in order to accelerate the PV deployment in Europe and to help European photovoltaic companies to recoup the leadership of the worldwide market.
The project deals with the three main levels within the PV process by implementing innovations in PV modules, power electronics and system integration. Furthermore, real prototypes of PV modules and power electronics will be produced and tested in some demo sites characterized by different climate conditions to evaluate cost efficiency and LCOE reduction, and demonstrate competitiveness of the proposed solutions.
In this context, SUPSI will focus on tailoring the typical BIM (Building Information Modelling) approach for photovoltaics plants in order to efficiently manage PV information and data from the manufacturing stage till operation and management through a PIM (PV Information Modelling) approach.
