The array of tests offered by SUPSI PVLab range from electrical to mechanical characterization, including accelerated aging and energy performance tests, Although installation checking is not part of the accreditation rationale, this activity is an essential  component of the product quality assessment process.  

Tests indoor - electrical characterization

  • Current-voltage characterisation under standard test conditions (STC) with spectral mismatch correction at a high level of precision (+/- 1.6%)
  • Current-voltage characterisation at different irradiations and temperatures (temperature coefficients)
  • Spectral response measurements
  • Module stabilisation by way of light soaking (degradation assessment)
  • Current-voltage characterisation for multi-junction cells of up to 1200 suns
  • Reference modules generation
  • Module parameter calculation for PVSYST
