Company ecological footprint

Natural resources management is an important global challenge, concerning not only international and national policies, but also each individual, institution or company.

The ecological footprint, a tool both for external communications and for internal management, helps companies to identify their environmental strong and weak points. The “heart” of the ecological footprint consists of a series of indicators, designed to describe the real extent and significance of the activities conducted. These indicators can be used to estimate the environmental impact that a company can have in a territory, and identify the weak points. Once these have been rectified, it will be possible to check how the ecological footprint has been affected by the measures taken by the company.
