The University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) is advertising a position for an Assistant with Master's Degree in the “Building Systems Sector” at the Department of Environment, Construction and Design (DACD) based in Mendrisio, for the Institute for Applied Sustainability to the Built Environment (ISAAC). Full-time position.

Duties
- Active participation in ongoing research projects, with specific responsibility for the generation, validation, and advanced management of energy datasets.
- Development and implementation of building energy models and execution of dynamic simulations; management, post-processing, and critical analysis of data from on-site monitoring campaigns.
- Application of statistical methods for the descriptive analysis of consumption data and the interpretation of the energy performance of the built heritage.
- Targeted collaboration and support in the context of service activities, external mandates, and continuing education initiatives.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of building physics principles (applied thermodynamics).
- Experience in energy simulation (building modeling and analysis).
- Excellent skills in data pre-processing and analysis, including the application of statistical methods for pattern identification.
- Specific IT skills: Energy simulation software (EnergyPlus required) and programming languages (Python).
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and interest in applied research.
- Excellent knowledge of Italian (spoken and written).
- Good knowledge of English (spoken and written). Knowledge of a second national language is an advantage.
