August 30th, 2024
from 10:00 to 16:00
The roundtable will offer excellent opportunities to discuss, explore and develop innovative circular solutions in the construction industry for building interior products.
It is aimed in particular at start-ups, SMEs, large companies, non-profit organisations, research teams, students, as well as passionate people who want to 'create innovation'.
It is promoted in the context of the Circular Building Industry (CBI) Innovation Booster (supported by Innosuisse) in cooperation with ETH Zurich, Humanitas Living LAB powered by Blanco AD and the Institute of Management of the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz, and is supported by the Applied Circular Sustainability Innovation Booster, the Sustainable Living Programme of the Federal Office for Spatial Development ARE and the Institute of Applied Sustainability to the Built Environment (ISAAC) of the Department of environment constructions and design SUPSI.
In order to address the various challenges generated by the construction industry and combat resource waste, the CBI Innovation Booster aims to generate ideas and solutions for a circular construction industry through projects, discussions and collaborations. The roundtable is the first in a series of events related to the 'Circular Business Models for Interior Built-In Solutions' call for ideas.
The call focuses on circular business models for interior built-in solutions (e.g. stairs, floors, kitchens, sanitary ware, lighting, doors, lifts, etc.) that could be implemented in the Humanitas Living LAB building designed by Blanco AD. Seven teams will compete for a direct cash contribution of CHF 20,000 to develop ideas, concepts and prototypes.
The roundtable will be held on Friday 30 August 2024 from 10:00 to 12:30, followed by a workshop from 13:30 to 16:00 at Casa del Popolo in Bellinzona (viale Stazione 31). Snacks and lunch will be provided.
Participation is free, but registration is compulsory and places are limited.
