Cristina Sattar

Cristina Sattar (Guggiari) was born in the surroundings of Lugano on a fine Sunday morning in April.

She studies at the Interpreters' School in Zurich where she graduates as a translator in 1986. At the same time, in Zurich, she gets her State Certificate as a teacher of Italian and English. She completes her academic background in the United States, at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, with a major in "American Studies".

She starts her career as a translator and language teacher in San Francisco (California) in the human resources department of an import-export company. In 1990 she returns to Switzerland as a free lance in linguistic mediation (in-company coaching). For over a decade she cooperates with the local TV company (TSI) and a major advertising company in Switzerland as senior translator. In 1997 she becomes a teacher of business English at SSQEA (Scuola Superiore dei Quadri dell'Economia e dell'Amministrazione).
