Enrolment and admission
To participate in a course, enrolment is compulsory and binding for the participant.
Admission to long-term courses is, however, subject to verification of the course requirements. To ensure a good level of quality, SUPSI may set a minimum and a maximum number of participants.
Enrolment fee
If the course is fee-paying, the registration fee is payable to the bank account of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI).

Payment reason: Course title
Obligation to pay the registration fee
Payment of the registration fee is due within 30 days from the date of the invoice. The enrolment confirmation and invoice are sent to the participant after the course registration deadline. In special cases it is possible to request an instalment of the enrolment fee; the written request must be made to the relevant secretariat within the enrolment deadline. Towards SUPSI the debtor for the payment of the fee is the participant, who, by enrolling in the course, expressly recognises his or her debt in accordance with the LEF, as well as the obligation to pay and undertakes to pay the amount due. If the training is financed by the employer or by a third party, the participant nevertheless remains a debtor towards SUPSI until actual payment of the fee by the employer or third party indicated.
In this regard, the participant undertakes and is obliged towards SUPSI to assume the payment of the registration fee, should the employer or third party indicated fail to pay the amount due. The provisions concerning the obligation to pay do not apply to courses that do not provide for the payment of a fee.
Cancellations and waivers
Should the number of participants be insufficient or for other reasons, SUPSI reserves the right to cancel the course. In such cases, participants will be notified promptly and, if they have already paid the registration fee, will be reimbursed in full. If it is the participant who withdraws, the latter is required to pay 50%* of the registration fee if he/she notifies the cancellation:
Those who are unable to attend may propose another person, subject to notification to SUPSI and acceptance by the course leader. In the event of withdrawal or abandonment of the course due to illness or accident of the participant, the invoice for the registration fee may be cancelled, provided that a medical certificate is presented.
* for courses organised by the Department of Business Economics, Health and Social Care (health area), the participant is required to pay 20%.
Changes
SUPSI reserves the right to change the programme, registration fee and venue of courses according to organisational requirements.
