To create a moment of meeting and sharing for a wide audience with creativity and passion for video games.This is the main objective of the Global Game Jam, a worldwide event dedicated to video game development. A true marathon aimed at confronting fans of the sector with the objective of stimulating the creativity of participants through a team competition.

The event will start at 17:00 on Friday 26 January 2024 and will end at 17:00 on Sunday 28 January 2024. This will be followed by a presentation of the games created in front of visitors at the cultural centre La Filanda.

The Global Game Jam encourages motivated people with all kinds of skills, talents and specialisations to participate and contribute to this global spread of creativity.

Programmers, illustrators, graphic designers or musicians will have crucial skills for the participating teams (which do not have to be pre-established and are formed at the start of the event), but the competition is open to all.

The Ticino edition of the Global Game Jam is organised by the Institute of Information Systems and Networking (ISIN) of SUPSI in collaboration with Banca Raiffeisen Mendrisio e Valle di Muggio.
