June 9th, 2026
from 12:00 to 14:00
The work of teachers will be the focus of the next meeting in the Breakpoint series. This work is often characterised by high demands and pressures that affect the emotional and professional spheres and that arise from relationships and organisational issues.
During the meeting, a study will be presented that aims to explore the relationships between professional demands and individual and collective resources in the work of teachers. In particular, the analysis focuses on variables that can potentially lead to a negative spiral (overload, emotional fatigue, stress and loneliness) or, conversely, to a virtuous dynamic (support among colleagues, sense of belonging, collective self-efficacy and job satisfaction).
The discussion of the results will be anchored to the experience of the Maestri di Strada association in Naples, which since 2003 has been carrying out complex educational interventions in the suburbs of the city to prevent early school leaving and promote social inclusion.
