SUPSI Tax Law Competence Centre organize a webinar aimed at analysing Swiss and Italian tax legislation on inheritance and gift taxes, with particular reference to the principles of territoriality of the tax in cross-border relationships. In professional practice, but also in the everyday life of border territories, it often happens to have to deal with inheritance and gift cases with cross-border elements. The testator, the donor or the beneficiaries may be party to transfers of assets existing in one or the other country, so it becomes essential to cross-fertilise the two sets of rules in order to understand which taxes are applicable in this case. During the webinar, a number of practical cases will be presented in order to accompany the legal data with specific examples, declining the principles of territoriality to hypotheses in which the persons or assets involved have a connection to both jurisdictions.
