from January 29th to February 28th, 2026
from 17:00 to 18:00
The idea for the works on display, in the form of a widespread installation, came about following a visit by students on the Bachelor in Primary Education (Expressive Languages I module) to the Fondazione Ghisla in Locarno, where a work by Jannis Kounellis (1936-2017) is located at the entrance on the ground floor, featuring a series of stuffed crows tied to a metal plate.
The work, linked to the Arte Povera movement, conveys a sense of unease, which was discussed at length with the students, particularly in terms of how relevant this feeling is today and how it reflects the historical and social moment we are currently experiencing. The reflection then broadened to the role that future teachers play in this context, and how the arts can foster a deep understanding of these issues while suggesting catharsis.
Working in groups, the students created realistic crows using the papier-mâché technique, modelling newspaper that was then painted, and wire inserts. The resulting works, on display until the end of February 2026 at the DFA/ASP, lend the spaces a lively yet mysterious atmosphere, creating a symbolic bridge between the museum and the school.
The exhibition opening will take place on January 29th, 2026 at 5 p.m.
For organisational reasons, please register by January 26th using the online form.
