from 14:00 to 17:30
Study afternoon dedicated to Cybersecurity in the fiduciary sector, with a practical approach tailored to the needs of the profession.
This topic is particularly important and timely, given the highly sensitive nature of the data handled, the central role of fiduciary firms in managing financial, tax, and personal information, and the increased exposure to cyber risks with potentially significant legal implications, especially in terms of liability towards clients and third parties.
The first part of the seminar will focus on the knowledge required for the safe use of technology, highlighting simple precautions that can be adopted in everyday practice in order to safeguard company data and better protect digital identity. Cyber risks and ways to prevent them will be illustrated through numerous practical examples drawn from real-life situations.
Real cases and their consequences will also be presented, including live demonstrations of some attack techniques used by cybercriminals against individuals or businesses, along with an explanation of their motivations.
This will be followed by an in-depth analysis of the principles governing the processing of personal data, with particular reference to the obligations of data controllers and organizational aspects. In this context, typical situations related to personal data processing in the fiduciary sector will be examined, providing concrete insights, and then attention will also be given to critical situations linked to possible data breaches, including their consequences in terms of notifications, information duties, and liability.
