The research analyses the main models (life, character/socio-emotional and soft skills) and classifications of transversal skills in the school environment. In all of them, a component of critical (reflection and discernment) and creative (innovation and entrepreneurship) skills emerges, which are necessary to consciously face current global challenges.
However, these skills are often conceived in adaptive and productive terms, without considering the subject in their sensitive, reflective, emotional and spiritual dimensions, thus limiting the effectiveness of their training.
In an attempt to overcome these critical issues, the Breakpoint series meeting will present a proposal for a “living” meta-model of skills that promotes a personal, attentive and emancipatory approach to oneself and reality. The characteristics and operational elements for designing aesthetic pathways aimed at exercising critical-creative skills will also be discussed, presenting a Virtual Learning Environment created for teacher training.
