The Master in Secondary Education degree course prepares students to take on the role of teacher in one or two subjects in secondary school (middle school) to teach pupils aged 11 to 15. The course is provided by the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education of SUPSI at its Locarno site.

For the academic year 2025/2026, enrolments are open for the following subjects: English, French, German, Mathematics, Natural Science, Geography, Music Education, Visual Education and Plastic Arts Education.

Qualification obtained at the end of the course: Master of Arts SUPSI in Secondary Education.

The Master in Specialised Pedagogy and Inclusive Didactics prepares to take on the role of teacher of pupils with Special Educational Needs (BES) in reduced, inclusive or regular classes. The course is delivered by the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education of SUPSI at its Locarno site.

Title obtained at the end of the course: Master of Arts SUPSI in Specialised Pedagogy and Inclusive Didactics.

The Diploma in Upper Secondary Education prepares to take on the role of teacher in secondary schools (Licei and Scuola Cantonale di Commercio) in the subject of choice, working with students aged 15 to 19. The course is provided by the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education of SUPSI at its Locarno site.

For the academic year 2025/2026, applications are open for the following subjects: English, French, German.

Title obtained at the end of the course: Teaching Diploma for baccalaureate schools.

The Bachelor in Pre-Primary Education and Bachelor in Primary Education courses prepare students to become teachers of boys and girls aged between 3 and 5 (pre-school) and boys and girls aged between 6 and 10 (primary school). Courses are provided by the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education of SUPSI at its Locarno site.

Qualification obtained at the end of the course: SUPSI Bachelor of Arts in Teaching at primary level (school years: 1-2) respectively SUPSI Bachelor of Arts in Teaching at primary level (school years: 3-7).
