from 12.00 to 14.00
Developed from relational theories on inclusive spaces, the Relational Toolkit approach supports children and young people in recognising which relationships and activities provide them with the information and connections they need to participate in informed democratic decisions in the places where they live, inside and outside school, in local communities and other public contexts.
Through concrete examples, we will illustrate how this approach facilitates critical and collaborative conversations between young people, policy makers and professionals, promoting meaningful change that repositions children and young people not only as citizens of the future, but as empowered “citizens of the present”.
