Shasa is a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) student with a specialization profile in Medical Engineeering. Due to part-time education, he has time to pursue his interests as well.
How did you come to know about the Master of Science in Engineering?
I attended the Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, reason why I continued with part-time MSE training always at the Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI).
How would you describe your programme?
My path has been characterized by: patience, because there have been ups and downs and in difficult times it has been crucial; determination, because starting this path has been a personal challenge; and passion, the reason I pursued studies in the medical field.
What is the strongpoint of DTI education?
Part-time training allows me to apply what I learn, and with the MSE master's degree, my personal background is constantly enriched. The modularity of the training helps to follow one's interests.
What are your goals for the future?
I would like to pursue a career in medical devices and maybe, why not, set up my own business.
Is there a particularly significant experience you would like to tell us about?
The most significant is the first master's project, where I experienced firsthand a very fascinating field such as fluid-structural simulations related to the medical field. Very often the commitment required is very high due to the limited availability of data and the complexity of interactions, where perseverance and patience played an important role.
