from 18:00
SUPSI in collaboration with La Filanda, the City of Mendrisio and the Mendrisio Cantonal Library is organising an event entitled ‘Poverty and Social Work’.
The event, promoted by the Associazione Ticinese Lavoro Sociale (ATLaS), takes its cue from the research carried out in Mendrisio on ‘Population in a situation of vulnerability’ and intends to address the theme of the interactions between social work and growing poverty, as well as that of the impact that poverty, a rising phenomenon, generates in accompanying people in a situation of fragility.
The event will be attended by Spartaco Greppi, Professor and Head of the SUPSI Competence Centre for Labour, Welfare and Social Research (CLWS), and Tiziana Madella, Director of the Department of Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities of the City of Mendrisio.
