Richard Paul Rogers

Born in London in 1967, dual British and Italian citizen, resident in Switzerland since 2013.

Studied Social Work at Plymouth University. As an English teacher, gained the CELTA in 2001, the DELTA 1 in 2009, the DELTA 3 in 2011 and the Delta 2 in 2021. Presently studying towards the CAS in academic management.

After working in the field of social work for many years in the UK, started teaching in 2001. Since then, has taught in the UK, Italy, Argentina and Switzerland. Has been an authorised Cambridge English oral examiner since 2012. Has many years experience as both director of studies and school director in the private sector in Switzerland.Responsabile for the Foreign Languages Area (LIST) since 2021.

Global assessment of students' language knowledge and competences; planning and implementation of course programmes and individual lessons; application of many different didactic approaches; full integration of technology in the classroom; production of assessment tools, assessment of specific and global language competences.

SUPSI delegate to the Association of Language Centres in Swiss Universities (SSH-CHES-CSUS), member of ETAS (English Teachers Association of Switzerland) and CircleS (The European Confederation of Language Centres in Higher Education).
