This thesis investigates the environmental impact of generative AI, focusing on the concept of “generative waste”, the discarded outputs produced through iterative image creation.
It reimagines sustainability principles such as reuse and reduction within the context of visual design education, proposing a more critical and responsible approach to AI-driven creativity.
Through the lens of slow design and digital sustainability, the project promotes intentional, mindful use of computational resources and encourages designers to reflect on the ecological implications of their creative tools.
